What is Kemper and Why Do We Use It?
We install Kemper roof systems, which are liquid, fully adhered waterproof roofing systems.
Kemper can be used for:

Kemper for Green Roofs: Waterproof Systems
- Green roofs in particular are subject to consistent water flow, because you need to water the plants. You don’t want a roof underneath the plantings that isn’t fully sealed from water intrusion. Kemper provides fully adhered and seamless waterproof roof systems for green roofs.
- If you don’t choose a fully waterproofed system like Kemper and you end up needing repairs, it doesn’t matter if that roof is warranted-the green roof materials need to come off, but in most cases the warranty will not cover the removal and replacement of the green roofing materials on top. Kemper warranties for green roofs include an overburden removal rider.
Kemper Roofing vs. TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen: No Comparison
In NYC, architects specify Kemper because they don’t want failure. TPO, EPDM and modified bitumen have seams that can fail. Kemper does not.
If you have a critical space that is subject to water intrusion, there is no better option than Kemper.
If you have metal drains and you want to attach the roofing substrate to them, TPO and EPDM don’t attach as well to those drains. Kemper System attaches perfectly, because it is a liquid.

Because Kemper System is a seamless, liquid applied waterproofing membrane, it can be used in a wide variety of applications, such as foundations, kitchens, baths, balconies, exterior facades, parking decks, historic restoration, roof decks, fountains/planters and pools! Kemper has been used in hospitals, university settings, apartment buildings, etc.
Roof decks: Kemper System is perfect for direct application to metal, concrete and plywood. It is resistant to ponding (when water gathers and remains in a spot) and ice.
Foundation waterproofing: Kemper can be applied to walls and floors to prevent water penetration, protecting the walls and flooring from degradation, as well as any items within the area. The liquid is low odor, perfect for enclosed application areas.
