Insurance Claims: We Can Help!
A storm has come through, causing tree limbs to fall on your roof, perhaps even involving holes from hail raining down on your roof, siding, or even windows. Gutters are also a commonly damaged part of your house after a storm. Chimneys can even be damaged by water intrusion. We can help to assess and repair any damage to your windows, siding, doors, roof, gutters, leaders, flashings, and chimney. We also offer waterproofing through Kemper System.Â
What we can help you with:
- identify the damage by providing a free estimate.
- contacting the insurance company on your behalf and working with them throughout the claims process.
- conduct the repair work or a roof replacement, if approved by insurance.
Signs of Storm Damage:
- gutters detached from your house
- holes in windows or doors
- damaged shingles
- missing shingles
- dented siding, or cracks in siding
- leaks inside of your home

Why You Should Get a Home Inspection After a Storm:
- Leaks can occur, causing damage to the interior of the home
- Mold from leaks
- Sometimes damage isn’t easily viewed from the ground or by the untrained eye
What to Do After a Storm
- take pictures or videos to document damage
- contact your insurance company for the initial notification of damage
- call a contracting company (hopefully us!) to help you to survey any damage and move forward with your claim
Repairs vs. Replacement?
Repairs can certainly offer a short-term solution to any dire situations, such as a leaking roof or siding damage. However, it’s important to keep in mind the structural integrity of your home for the future.
Additionally, insurance companies oftentimes deny reimbursement for claims if the roof wasn’t installed properly in the first place. Obvious neglect of maintenance also sometimes factors into denying an insurance claim. If you need something new installed, like a roof, we will recommend it and leave the choice in your hands. However, it is wise to contract with a certified and insured company (we are certified by numerous manufacturers like GAF and Kemper System) to help prevent any denial of claims in the future, and to protect your home for years to come.
